Welcome to Cakes by Alana! I'll be posting pictures of all of the cakes that I've done so far. If you have any questions about the cakes, please feel free to email me at CakesByAlana@Gmail.com. If you would like to order a cake for your next event, I would be honored to make it. All I need is a picture of whatever item you would like it to look like, your flavor preferences, and a little time. So look around, enjoy, and please let me know if there is anything I can do for you.
Thanks for checking it out!

Candyland!
These two cakes were made for my cousin Briana's 10th birthday party on 04/05/08. The Candyland board was made of vanilla cake with Bavarian cream filling and fresh strawberries. Real candies were used on the top. The small present was an individual chocolate cake with chocolate cream cheese frosting. The bow is made of fondant.

Peeps Cake!
I made this one for my mom's birthday/Easter party. The cake is vanilla with butter cream frosting and fresh strawberries. I covered it in tan fondant and created sand with graham cracker crumbs. The shells are made from the fondant and the water is berry blue Jello. Peeps top it off as ducks on the water.

Emulex Christmas Cake 12-18-07
This is the Christmas cake I made for my dad's office. The mountains at the rear as well as the house on the right are made of carrot cake with a banana cream cheese frosting. The trees are ice cream cones and royal icing and the penguins and presents are made of fondant. Everything on the board is edible.

Ukelecake

This is a Ukulele cake that I made for Philip's birthday on August 31, 2007. As you can see in the second picture, it is to scale. The body of the ukulele was made of vanilla cake with cream cheese frosting and fresh mango and strawberry filling. The fret board was made out of fondant. The entire ukulele was edible.
Sheet Music
DDR
I made this cake for my friend Gerard's birthday. It is a Dance Dance Revolution machine with figures of Gerard (as the Pokemon Jigglypuff in pink), my boyfriend Philip (as the Pokemon Pikachu in yellow) and a giant fish on top of the machine. The cake was vanilla with a buttercream frosting and fresh mango filling.
